Our Beliefs
foundational values of our Christian faith
Service Times:
1st Service: 8:30 a.m.
2nd Service: 10:00 a.m.
We believe that church is more than just a building.
It’s a family, a celebration of diversity, a community that reaches out and crosses over social divides, a message of grace and truth, a place to come as you are and be together
with one central purpose: TO FOLLOW JESUS.

VISION STATEMENT
To build a culture of biblically sound believers equipped to impact our region and the world for Christ.
Meet The Pastors
Donnie Rosa
Senior Pastor
Pastor Donnie Rosa has been on the pastoral team at Abundant Life Whippany since its inception in 1991. Although his roles have varied from youth pastor to Christian school vice principal to church treasurer, his commitment to God and people has remained the same.
In 2002, he founded Joysongs Music to educate, equip, and empower local churches through worship. Through Joysongs, he has trained local and international worshippers through worship leader development groups, consulting, worship nights, and annual worship and media conferences. He and his wife, Linda, and their four children continue to love and serve the Lord.
Bruno D’Innocenzo
Associate Pastor
Pastor Bruno immigrated to the United States from Italy and has been a ministry leader at Abundant Life Whippany since its foundational years. His perseverance in establishing a life in the U.S. while learning a new language carried over into his consistent service to the kingdom of God at Abundant Life.
Pastor Bruno coordinates our evangelism team and organizes our community care team’s visits to local nursing homes. He also oversees our deacons and aids in facilitating outreaches to our community. His wife Marianna and their two children serve God and this church alongside him.
Vernon Outlaw
Associate Pastor
Pastor Vernon heads up community outreach at Abundant Life and coordinates Impact Groups, our small groups designed to connect the members of our church family. Pastor Vernon strives to make Impact Groups a place to serve each other and serve the community around us — or, as he puts it, “bring life outside the walls.”
He is consistently building relationships with community leaders and, most notably, has initiated a partnership with our local first responders by promising to pray for each of them by name. His wife Cheryl and his youngest daughter Sarah also serve alongside him at Abundant Life.
Joe Arminio, Sr.
Founding Pastor
Pastor Joe founded Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany in 1991 and served as senior pastor for 28 years before going home to heaven in June 2019. With the help of his pastoral team, he built a church grounded in the word of God and dedicated to changing lives through salvation in Jesus Christ. The cultural diversity in his congregation honored the verse that was written on the sanctuary wall for many years: “…my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Isaiah 56:7). Pastor Joe worked in full-time ministry for 40 years, and served under Bishop Peter Bruno as the assistant to the bishop of Abundant Life Ministries International (ALMI).
Second only to his savior, Pastor Joe, cherished his family the most. He and his wife of 40 years, Debbi, raised three children — Faith, Joseph, and Joy — and seven grandchildren — Alexandra, Benjamin, Nicoletta, Chloe, Raegan, Reese, and Joseph. Pastor Joe and Debbi trained their now adult children in the ways of the Lord. All of them are continuing his legacy and are heavily involved in ministry at Abundant Life, along with their families.
Pastor Joe took advantage of any opportunity to teach people about God’s word and the character of Jesus. Out of that love for imparting into people’s lives, he authored Truths to Live By, a 365-day devotional book packed with spiritual lessons to apply daily.
For his last 19 years on earth, Pastor Joe also served as executive director of Renovation House (formerly Youth Challenge), a Christ-centered drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with locations in New York and New Jersey. 2018 Renovation House celebrated 40 years of rescuing men from addiction and honored its first-ever female graduate. Pastor Joe was instrumental in launching Renovation House’s first women’s home, a location dedicated exclusively to rehabilitating women and caring for their children.
Pastor Joe believed strongly in providing Christian education from the cradle to college. Out of that vision, he founded King’s Kids Preschool and Daycare and Arrow Academy (formerly Abundant Life Christian School), which aim to raise the next generation to excel in academics and grab hold of their divine purpose. He also founded Abundant Life Bible Institute (ALBI), a fully accredited ministry training center designed to raise the bar to a higher Biblical knowledge and proficiency standard.
Pastor Joe was an athlete all his life. He loved playing and watching baseball and had the opportunity to try out for the Yankees in his 20s. He had a background in the fitness industry before God radically changed his life and called him to the ministry. His passion for health and wellness birthed the ROC (Recreational Outreach Center) House, a fitness center on the same campus as Abundant Life Whippany.
Joseph Arminio was a pastor, a visionary, a church planter, an author, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. But above all, he believed in serving God with every breath he was given.
